The Student Underground is a not for profit, student run, democratic collective. We attempt to better inform the general public of the realities that are ignored or forgotten by bigger media sources. We deliver an alternative printed news source to campuses and neighborhoods around Boston as well as providing an online edition with an archive of every issue. The Student Underground was founded by Boston University students in 1997 and is still based at BU; however, The Underground is not affiliated with BU and does not receive any funding from the university. Like many other alternative news sources, at times funding is scarce and often printing is delayed until enough funds can be secured. All of us at The Underground appreciate your support of independent media.
